The Coffee County Commission voted to adopt Resolution 2026-04, the county reappraisal plan, after Property Assessor Alicia Fletcher summarized the statutory schedule and next steps. Fletcher said the state requires reassessment every four years, that Coffee County has followed a four-year cycle since 1994, and that she has requested the certified tax rate from the state to complete the process.
“Basically, this is just the reappraisal plan,” Fletcher said, noting values generally rise and the certified tax rate is adjusted to offset valuation increases; she said the office has requested the certified tax rate and expects the figure within weeks. The resolution passed with 13 yes votes recorded.
