Library operations staff presented line-item changes for the proposed 2027 budget and recommended forwarding the proposal to the Duchesne County Commission in September. "So, overall, I think we're looking at a 10,250 increase, in next year's budget," staff member Danny Mokley said while reviewing payroll and program line changes.
Mokley described anticipated increases in staffing costs (about $8,000 total for full-time positions, about $6,000 for part-time, and roughly $2,000 for benefits) and recommended a new summer-reading program line estimated at $8,000. After discussion, Deb Evans moved to send the proposed budget to the county commission and the board approved the motion by voice vote.
