The Sammamish City Council unanimously approved a contract with WBCP to lead the city’s search for a permanent city manager and directed the interim city manager to execute the agreement.
Mark Barrett, the city’s Admin Services Director, told the council the city issued an RFP, the council subcommittee scored responses, and WBCP was the subcommittee’s selection. “Staff recommend a motion to direct the interim city manager to execute this agreement,” Barrett said. Councilmembers thanked Mark Barrett and the subcommittee for vetting proposals and asked staff to move quickly to fill the executive vacancy.
The motion passed 7-0. The contract is to be executed by the interim city manager so that recruitment can proceed on a timeline determined by the city’s HR and executive team.
What’s next: Staff will finalize the contract signature and begin the recruitment process with WBCP per the contract terms.
