Ward 3 sees progress on 66th Street water and sewer; sewer still has about 1,000 feet to install

Staff said the 66th Street waterline is substantially complete and that testing and cleanup are the main remaining tasks. For the sewer project, the presenter said about 1,000 feet of the approximately 18,000 feet of pipeline remain to be installed; favorable dry weather should allow crews to accelerate pipe-laying over the coming weeks.
Commissioner Baker and other commissioners asked for clarifications about staging and design. The presenter noted that some smaller design-only projects (Pine, Cypress, Maple waterline projects between 20th and 25th streets) will be advanced for DEQ funding in coming months. No votes were taken; the update was informational and intended to keep commissioners apprised of sequencing and funding plans.
