The board unanimously approved a license agreement and site subagreement with Share Ourselves to expand food-access and family-resource services at the Rob Richardson Welcoming Resource Center. Superintendent Dr. Perez said the partnership will allow district staff to focus on core instructional work while Share Ourselves provides food and wraparound services at the Rob.
Contract and facilities staff said the arrangement is a co-location and is not expected to create additional custodial costs for the district; tenant improvements for the partner-run areas will be paid by Share Ourselves. Trustees described the partnership as a way to provide dignified, choice-based food services and other supports to families, and thanked Share Ourselves CEO Christy Ward (present in the audience) for the collaboration. The vote carried 5–0.
