Council hears preview of sale to ABC Ready Mix; company projects 10 jobs

City Administrator Beverly Hicks told the council the ordinance and the contract for sale of a property to ABC Ready Mix would be presented to the council in July for passage and signature.
Andy Gilmore introduced Paul Adelsberger and said the project would create 10 initial jobs and that a batch plant was already in Willow Springs; Gilmore also said eight trucks were on the way and that the company planned to use "environmentally friendly" methods. The council did not vote or approve a sale at this meeting; Hicks indicated the full ordinance and contract documents would be returned at the July meeting for consideration.
Because the sale and contract were previewed rather than executed, any formal approval, specific acreage, or financial terms remain to be provided when the item returns to the council.
