The Board of Aldermen adopted Ordinance No. 1663 authorizing the mayor to execute a lease agreement with the Willow Springs Community Foundation.
City Administrator Beverly Hicks told the council the building contains plumbing and that the city must maintain access at all times to comply with Department of Natural Resources requirements. Dean Aye said the foundation plans to use the property for storage and intends to replace the roof, windows, doors and the garage door.
On a motion by Alderman Mike Tooley, seconded by Alderman Andy Roberts, the council read Bill No. 63-26 as Ordinance No. 1663 and then adopted the ordinance in a 4-0 roll call vote (Ayes: Owens, Hogan, Tooley, Roberts). The record does not show a start date for the lease or the lease term in the meeting minutes; those documents were referenced as part of the ordinance package to be executed by the mayor.
