Board approves tenant sign package for 2200 East Main, leaves Fitzgerald and parking wording to ARB

The board reviewed application BZAP26-35 for signage at 2200 East Main and voted to grant a certificate of appropriateness limited to tenant wall and blade signs so that a tenant can proceed with signage. Staff and ARB had separately reviewed the package; ARB provided a positive design recommendation for tenant signs but wanted to see further work on the Fitzgerald building sign and asked that parking signage include the word "public" or the universal parking symbol.
Applicant Jason Hockstock told the board the approval was time-sensitive because an office tenant — Coldwell Banker — is scheduled to move in soon and needs to begin the signage process: "we'd like to start the signage process for that tenant, which is specifically Coldwell Banker." The board's motion adopted staff findings and conditioned the certificate on ARB's final approval of the Fitzgerald building sign and the public parking garage signs; staff will coordinate ARB follow-up and post findings to the city website.
