The Planning & Zoning Board reviewed proposed Ordinance O-4-25, which would amend Appendix A (Zoning Ordinance) to update definitions and district regulations in response to the Dec. 20, 2024 FEMA flood-zone map updates for Palm Beach County.
Zoning Official Josh Nichols advised staff revisions include removing the provision allowing underground or depressed parking and changing section language so "the top of the beam shall not exceed 43 feet measured from the grade of elevation," which the staff said will maintain the overall building height. The board indicated District A language is acceptable as written and complimented staff on the extensive work. Mary Stanton moved to recommend approval to the Town Commission; Anastasia Karloutsos seconded. The motion passed 4-0.
