Union City Borough convened a public hearing on Sept. 16, 2024 to present a proposed amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 1118. The hearing opened at 6:05 P.M. at First Global Methodist Church and recorded the presence of four councilors and two officials; three councilors were absent.
The purpose was to inform the public about revisions that would define and regulate "redemption games" (games of skill) and to add a section on accessory structures on adjoining lots. The minutes record that no visitors attended to offer public comment. Councilor Steadman moved that the hearing be adjourned; Councilor Osborn seconded, and the hearing adjourned at 6:09 P.M.
