Gaslight Festival set for Sept. 10–20; council hears new volleyball event is nearly sold out

Gina, a festival organizer, told the Jeffersontown City Council that the Gaslight Festival will run Sept. 10–20 and that most elements of the annual program are unchanged this year. "Gaslight Festival, September 10 through the 20th," she said, and left a printed calendar at each council member's place to show the schedule and vendor layout.
Gina said the festival will include one new event — a volleyball tournament on Sunday, Sept. 13 at the beach — with a family league in the morning and a more competitive corporate league later in the day. "We're already about halfway sold out for that event," she said, and she encouraged council members to spread the word and to let her know if they need a parade vehicle or want to ride on a trailer. The organizer said the food court layout will be split between two locations this year and that 4 PEG is expected to be a vendor.
