The board authorized the supervisor to enter into an agreement with Lobello Associates for planning, land‑use, zoning and engineering services for sidewalk projects totaling $81,500, with contingency authority to approve change orders up to 10% of the contract price. Supervisor Maley described five segments—two on Elmwood, two on Westfall and a segment on Clover Street—designed to connect sidewalks to the Auburn Trail and improve pedestrian safety.
The projects will be paid in part (50%) through the Monroe County 50% cost‑share grant program. Council members asked about an Edgewood connector; staff responded that Edgewood work will be completed in‑house and is not part of the detailed design package. The board approved the contract by unanimous roll call.
