Selectboard reviews budget status, signs Highway Safety Grant reimbursement; new staff start dates set

At its July 8 meeting the Selectboard reviewed the town's budget-to-date and noted 54.92% of the budget remained as of July 8, 2026. The board processed routine paperwork; Kevin Follensbee signed the Highway Safety Grant reimbursement request for the second quarter of 2026.
Personnel items reported to the board included the return of Brandon Perkins to the Highway Department on July 7 as a crew member and the forthcoming start of new Administrative Assistant Armand Girouard, who will begin training on July 20 with Esther Dobbins-Marsh. The manifest, payroll and accounts-payable folders were reviewed and signed where necessary.
