Rangely prepares to launch RARE grant–funded pitch competition in April

Jeanie said about six to eight businesses have already inquired, and that final program approval will go through the RDA and RDC because the program "runs through them."
Town staff said the state and federal requirements attached to the grant will require oversight: the town manager warned that because the funds are federal they must meet Buy America rules and carry insurance certificates, adding that "if they don't use the money like they're supposed to, the town's on the hook." Councilmembers and staff discussed timeline and outreach to encourage local businesses to apply.
