"This evening, we're gonna talk about the strategic plan," Dr. Anderson said, and indicated the board would consider approval at the next regular meeting.
The plan organizes district goals into five areas: student learning, highly effective staff, finance/facilities/IT, school climate and equity, and career preparation. Dr. Anderson said the document will be shared as a Google Doc with a hyperlinked table of contents so trustees and the public can navigate to sections easily; he added senior leaders will accept board feedback and make incremental tweaks. "When you click on that area, it'll go straight to that section," he said, describing the live navigation features.
Board members were invited to meet with senior leaders responsible for each goal during the two‑week review window. The superintendent said staff will return the plan for formal action at the next board meeting after incorporating board feedback. The presentation included specific action items and measurement expectations intended to convert the plan into a living, accountable document.
