Residents urge stronger staff review and accountability during planning commission public comment

Janine Clifton reiterated concerns about what she described as more than "40 plus violations" already on the record and asked the commission to uphold its prior decision and not approve projects until the violations are addressed.
Commissioners acknowledged the comments and emphasized the limits of the commission's authority in certain remand proceedings, while staff and code enforcement described the existing review processes and notification steps. The public comments were entered into the record and referenced by commissioners during later deliberations.
