Moraine welcomes new city planner, finance staffer and police officer; announces National Night Out and movie night

Council and staff used the meeting to introduce several new hires. The finance director welcomed Ashley Enos, who started Monday and will assist with transition planning ahead of a planned retirement. Council also welcomed a newly sworn police officer, introduced with a short biographical note about the officer's police academy graduation.
Staff and council promoted near-term community events: the police department announced National Night Out on Aug. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Parks and Recreation said it will hold a movie night showing The Sandlot after National Night Out. Council members offered informal thanks to new staff and encouraged residents to attend the events.
