Separately, Chair (speaker 1) said the group selected to administer recently approved federal grants for the community center is still setting up headquarters and creating program guidelines, so no immediate activity is expected. "Basically, nothing's gonna happen for a few months," Chair said.
Councilors asked staff to keep the council updated as the grant administrator finalizes rules and to coordinate local volunteer activities in the meantime.
