Chair (speaker 1) proposed the city pay half of the $100 fee; "the city paying that $50 towards it," Chair said during discussion. Committee member (speaker 3) moved to pay the $50 and Committee member (speaker 2) seconded; the motion passed.
Councilors noted the arrangement will allow local firefighters to obtain required certification hours and that the city and Powder River will split the direct fee for the course.
