The Town Council approved Resolution 026-2026 to reauthorize an ALDOT Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) agreement for Wallahatchie Road Phase III (TAPMN-TA16(949)). Mayor Gordon Stone noted the agreement had been approved before the COVID pandemic and that ALDOT requested re-approval to proceed. Councilman Rob Steindorff moved to accept the resolution and Councilman Marcus Robinson seconded; the council approved the resolution unanimously.
The reauthorization allows the town to move forward with the previously planned TAP project pending ALDOT processes. The resolution references TAPMN-TA16(949); no additional project funding changes were recorded in the meeting minutes.
