Krista, a city staff member who presented the item, said the program currently has "a little over $11,000 left" and that staff expects to be able to fund a portion of one more homeowner's work once a final bid is completed. She told the board the current round will bring the total assisted homeowners to 23 once the final property is completed and closed out.
Krista also said some of the homeowners in the current group face urgent repairs, including a failed HVAC and a failed water heater, and that staff keeps a waiting list to target future funding if additional grants become available. A board member moved to approve the contracts as presented, the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The meeting record does not show a roll‑call tally for individual votes.
The approval clears contracts that will allow work to begin on the approved properties and preserves the city’s ability to pursue another round of funding in the future. Staff said the timing for applying for another round is not yet set but suggested spring as a possible target.
