Paige Goldschmidt, senior development manager, told the council the coalition runs cleanups, supports canoe-launch maintenance and hosts educational programs tied to local schools.
Goldschmidt said volunteers recently removed about 500 pounds of trash from the river and additional pounds of invasive species from riverbanks. Council members thanked the coalition for its partnership and left the item on consent for approval.
