Public input at the July 15 meeting included written letters and oral statements. For the Wodtke application, Sandra Becker of 13927 Center Drive submitted a letter in support while Brian Knowles submitted an email opposing the project on behalf of his client Tim Ronfeldt (13915 Center Drive). For the Reeder application the record contains written support from Rex and Jan Ramsey and Roger and Jo Obbink, and oral support from Peggi Olson, Steve Reeder and Sarah Haver.
Speakers at the meeting spoke briefly in favor of the Reeder rebuild; Peggi Olson, Steve Reeder and Sarah Haver told the board they support the proposal. Opposing concerns in the Wodtke item were registered by email rather than oral testimony. The board noted neighborhood consultation in the Reeder case (adjacent owners had the opportunity to purchase the lot but declined, according to Brent Reeder). The board considered the comments within the variance factor framework for each application and reached the decisions described in its roll-call votes.
