Siuslaw board approves graduation-policy updates to clarify credit and ceremony participation

The board adopted IKF by motion and voice vote (resolution 031126-6.3).
The board also adopted policy IKFB and its accompanying administrative regulation (IKFB AR) to permit students who are concurrently enrolled in homeschool or private programs to participate in graduation exercises when they meet specified participation or credit thresholds (for example, completion of a set number of credits or participation in extracurricular activities). Directors said the policy does not change diploma standards but is intended to allow inclusive ceremony participation; the motion passed by voice vote (resolution 031126-6.4).
