The Menasha Personnel Committee on July 20 recommended an external recruitment for the City Attorney position after HR Manager Kimberly Cardoza informed the committee the incumbent will leave in September.
Cardoza said the city attorney post is an appointed position and recommended seeking external candidates; she proposed an interview panel composed of the personnel committee chair, the council president, the mayor and the HR manager. “This one will be desirable to go external for,” Cardoza said.
Alderman Grady moved that the common council authorize an external recruiting process with the proposed interview panel; the motion was seconded by Alderman Hale and approved on a voice vote. The committee recorded the recommendation for the council to authorize the external search and interview panel arrangements.
Next steps: HR will begin preparations for an external recruitment and the committee’s recommendation will be transmitted to the common council for formal action.
