Fifth-graders describe Chewaunkie trip: high ropes, farm tours and teamwork

One student summarized the life lessons as: "Go slow and steady...Teamwork makes the dream work...Always be respectful...Have a growth mindset and always try." Parents and chaperones praised the program's logistics and outcomes, noting roughly 250 people attended the district's harvest meal the same day and that the experience produced lasting memories.
Board members thanked the students and Moore for the presentation; Moore noted this was her sixth year leading the trip. The board said they valued the student-led reflections and the visible evidence of learning through outdoor experiences. "These are memories that you guys will remember for a long time," the chair said to the students as the board closed the segment.
