At Item 8 the superintendent presented the financial report, saying: "We have the financial report in your board packet and with 83% of the fiscal year remaining, 91% of the budget remains." She told the board there are no areas of concern at this time but noted the audit will require taking some payments back to the prior year and moving others into the current year.
During the non-action review of federal funds (Item 10.6) the superintendent said Title I funding will be roughly $28,000 after transfers and is designated to improve academic achievement for disadvantaged students. She reported Title II is $2,500 for educator effectiveness/professional development, Title IV is $600 for well-rounded education supports and student enrichment, and a local entitlement of $894 is set aside for early speech therapy for children under 5. She cautioned that universal free meals and provision 2 complicate disadvantaged counts used to allocate funds.
