During the June 24 budget workshop Town Manager Margaret Carey reviewed the Capital Improvement Plan and commissioners discussed priorities and contingencies. Town Hall improvements were explicitly added to the CIP as a contingency in case the building suffers damage.
Accountant Andy Tess explained the town's classifications of funds—restricted, committed and assigned—and how those labels limit allowable uses for CIP projects. Commissioners discussed which restricted funds might be used to assist with projects such as streetlight replacement and Town Hall contingency repairs, but no funding allocations were approved at the meeting.
