The chief announced the annual Safety Fair is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at Sankey Park. The event will include public works, fire, police, the sheriff’s office boat and a document-shredding service; the shredder will be located at the police department for easier public access.
Committee members said the fair will feature a bike giveaway for kids and noted the new ADA ramp connecting upper and lower Sankey Park is substantially complete, pending railings and fabricated lights. “From 9 to noon, we'd love to see everyone there,” the chief said, encouraging residents to attend.
