Council fills scores of vacancies on local boards, committees and commissions

Other appointments included seats on the Heritage Commission, Art in Public Places, Civil Service Board, Infrastructure Oversight Board and Senior Citizen Board. The clerk and members of council acknowledged voting difficulties during the senior-board selection (ties and reconvening votes) and corrected the record on multiple hand-raises; the clerk confirmed final appointments after procedural clarification.
"The city clerk's office received a total of 72 qualified applications," Kimberly Clark told the council, outlining the timeline and outreach used to recruit applicants. Council members praised the applicant pool and urged continued civic engagement for those not selected.
