Mayor Rezin Hudkins presented Ordinance 2025-06, which would increase wages for Nutter Fort Police Department positions including patrol officers, sergeants, lieutenants and the deputy chief. The mayor told the council he researched county pay scales and said the proposed increases would move the town into the top three pay tiers in the county, up from seventh place, as part of an effort to recruit and retain officers and restore 24-hour coverage.
