The Three Oaks Village Council on Dec. 10 approved Resolution #12-2025-03 to increase the medical insurance opt-out payment from $250 to $500 per month for eligible employees, effective Jan. 1, 2026. The resolution was moved by Jones, supported by Thomas, and carried unanimously with Hinman absent.
Council minutes record the effective date and the new monthly opt-out amount. The change increases a monthly cash payment available to employees who decline village-provided medical coverage.
Why it matters: The increase is a direct change to employee compensation options and will affect payroll accounting beginning in January 2026.
