The Prairie County Board of Commissioners approved several routine actions on April 1. Commissioner Christine Keltner moved to accept the March 18 minutes as corrected; Commissioner Dennis Teske seconded and the motion passed with an "all in favor" vote. Keltner also moved to accept the Weed Board bylaws; Teske seconded and the board approved that motion as well.
Later in the afternoon, with approval from the library board, Commissioner Teske moved to appoint Laney Smith to the Library Board to replace Amber Murr; Commissioner Keltner seconded and the motion passed, recorded as "all in favor." The meeting included additional administrative matters—review of Great West Engineering invoices and Keltner's agreement to sign an extension for that firm—and adjourned twice (midday and for the final adjournment at 4:55 p.m.).
