Council approves Timbers Restaurant off-site liquor use for two fall events, 6–0

Councilors voted unanimously to approve a staff recommendation allowing Timbers Restaurant and Lounge to operate a temporary beer garden using its existing liquor license at two upcoming community events. City staff described the proposed layout, said Timbers ran a similar operation last year, and noted volunteers will staff entry points to check IDs and help ensure age compliance.
"They're going to be running the beer garden for both the Main Street car show and Art Oysters and Brew," the city manager said, noting the permits must be processed in time for the events. Councilor Keating moved approval; the motion was seconded and adopted by roll-call vote 6–0. The Main Street Car Show date was given as Sept. 5; staff said event maps show the beer garden will occupy one side of the parking lot with controlled access and monitoring.
