During public comment some residents urged limited additional expense to cover decorative markings that have become local curiosities; staff said they will coordinate timing with the summer festival to avoid conflicts and will get written confirmation from the contractor about any over‑painting requirements. The motion to approve was moved by Councilor Burns and seconded by Councilor Riley; the roll call vote was 6–0 in favor.
