Toledo council adopts $26.7 million FY 2026–27 operating budget, sets tax rate

Mayor Tracy Mix called the vote after staff summarized the packet and the council closed the public hearing with no testimony.
City Manager Hebner told the council the budget before them had been reviewed by the Toledo budget committee on May 5 and May 12 and included a corrected scrivener’s error noted before publication. “The proposed budget for the City of Toledo operating budget for fiscal year 2026–27 was in a total amount of 26,722,746,” Hebner said in the staff report. Councilors asked no additional questions before moving to the formal motion. The resolution passed on a roll-call vote with all six voting yes.
