Waterworks readies RFP and installs second pump to bolster reliability

Waterworks staff reported that the contract package related to the '05:22 extension' is nearly ready to be posted for bid and that the system has a newly reinstalled service pump.
The waterworks representative said the package will be posted in the Morgan Messenger for two sequential weeks with an early June deadline; evaluations and selections are expected by the end of June. "They did get it receive an extension to do that. I understand it goes through September '27... We'll be going out with an early June deadline," the representative said.
Staff also confirmed installation of a second service pump, paid for and reinstalled to improve continuity and reliability of the town—s water infrastructure. The council welcomed the improvement as a step toward better redundancy in the system.
