The list included governance (board meetings, agendas), fiscal (annual operating budget), instruction (attendance zones, graduation requirements, instructional program), student conduct (bullying, Title IX, discrimination) and staff policies (employment, separation practices).
Trustees then approved the package by voice vote. The superintendent and staff said the adoptions are necessary before school begins and that some items reflect state-required adoptions (for example, textbook-adoption requirements tied to the Tennessee Textbook and Instructional Material Quality Commission). Staff noted the district would still need to decide purchases against state-recommended materials.
Board members asked procedural clarifying questions and then voted to adopt on first and final reading.
