The Board of Health discussed progress on a draft private well regulation and agreed to defer detailed review until staff and members could compare the town draft with Massachusetts changes issued in 2022 and 2023. Dr. Matt Wason summarized that the group had been working to align local language with state updates and recommended postponing final action until the freshest documents are incorporated.
"I think we're pretty close, but, we intentionally suspended it because we knew those updated regs have come out, and we just didn't wanna work on the wrong thing," Dr. Wason said. Members asked staff to obtain the most recent state text and to circulate a consolidated draft in advance of the next substantive review meeting.
