"The Federal Energy Regulation Commission usually, utilizes a 55 decibel standard for noise," a staff summary recited during discussion while members noted Littleton's residential bylaw limits are lower. Board members said they would seek coordination with Westford's Board of Health, the state's regional emergency preparedness office, and local fire departments to clarify jurisdiction and emergency response planning if the project proceeds. The board asked staff to keep the item on future agendas as additional planning-board or National Grid materials become available.
