Colchester board outlines steps to implement voter-approved facilities bond

At a Dec. 17 special meeting, the Colchester School District Board of Education reviewed next steps to implement a facilities bond voters approved in November. Business and Operations Manager George Trieb and Superintendent Amy Minor presented the process to obtain the bond funds, a proposed project timeline and the steps the district will take to finalize building floor plans.
Trieb and Minor told the board the administration will provide regular updates to the community during the Board/Administration Communication agenda item at each scheduled school board meeting. The meeting opened at 6:00 p.m. and was called to order by Board Chair Lindsey Cox. The special meeting focused on planning and information-sharing; there were no formal votes on project approvals at this session.
