The Danville Board of Selectmen voted unanimously on May 18 to adopt an updated dog ordinance that includes revised fines. Shawn O’Neil said the update was prepared by Town Clerk Michelle Healy and Animal Control Officer Bianca Caillouette, and the Board adopted the ordinance "as presented," making it effective immediately pending voter ratification on the town ballot.
Shawn explained that if the ordinance does not pass in a future vote, there would be no ordinance in effect until the town takes further action. The Board recorded the adoption and indicated the ordinance will appear on the next town ballot for voter consideration.
