District Manager Chuck Adams presented the unaudited financial statements as of Aug. 31, 2024 and told the board the CDD will open a BankUnited Insured Cash Sweep (ICS) account to invest General Fund surplus funds.
Supervisor Michael Walsh asked whether SOLitude could be asked to compensate the district for what he called poor performance on pond treatments; Adams said he would contact SOLitude and that he thought it reasonable to hold them 50% responsible. On motion by Mr. Walsh, seconded by Ms. Vaughan, the board accepted the unaudited financial statements.
No dollar totals from the statements were read into the record at the meeting; the board recorded its acceptance and directed staff to pursue vendor follow-up regarding performance and reporting.
