Heritage Pines CDD raises encroachment, irrigation repairs and park improvements

Board members reviewed several operations and grounds items on Sept. 17. Assistant Secretary Carol Vaughan told the board the front property and Paleo Park "look great" and requested installation of another bench; Grounds Superintendent Tim Gatz will inspect the proposed placement.
Assistant Secretary Michael Walsh reported a residence on Pond 16 had installed a pool and cage and that construction appears to be encroaching on an EDRA, causing significant bank damage from the tee box. Staff agreed homeowners are responsible for damage and will monitor the area and address any issues with the homeowner as work continues. Mr. Gatz also noted a temporary dam was built on Hole 11 to address an irrigation break.
Staff reviewed the to-do list: sign repair is completed but painting remains; twice-annual mulching of the entire park will begin in October 2024; District Manager Adams will confirm when contractor A to Z will remove two trees hanging over houses; staff will consult with a resident planting trees in a retention area by the dog walk.
