At the opening of the Washington County Council’s Sept. 15 meeting, public commenter Max Green urged the council to stop funding any county boards that are not complying with the livestream law. Green specifically said he did not want the Planning Commission funded, stating his belief that the board is operating illegally by failing to post meetings properly.
The council recorded Green’s comments in the public comment portion of the agenda but did not take immediate action in response during the meeting. Council members continued into scheduled budget items and multiple public hearings, all of which concluded with no other public comment recorded.
