Staff: Resilient Ponce Inlet adaptation plan posted online; sidewalk project heading to Council

Planning & Development Director Mr. Lear told the board the draft Resilient Ponce Inlet adaptation plan is available on the Town website and that a sidewalk project and the by‑laws amendment are scheduled for Town Council consideration on May 14, 2026.
Mr. Lear, Planning & Development Director, reported that the draft Adaptation Plan previously presented at a joint meeting on April 9 is now available on the Town's website on the Resilient Ponce Inlet page. He also notified the board that approval of a sidewalk project will be considered by the Town Council at its regularly scheduled meeting on May 14, 2026.
Mr. Lear additionally introduced a proposed amendment to the Planning Board by‑laws concerning meeting times for quasi‑judicial items and noted staff recommendations to remove the evening‑meeting requirement. Staff indicated the by‑laws amendment and the sidewalk project will both be on the Council agenda on May 14 so Council action will determine next steps.
