Richland 2 spotlights JROTC and career programs; superintendent cites 100% cadet graduation rates

At the forum, Dr. Kim Moore described the district's career and technical education offerings — naming cybersecurity, culinary arts, health sciences, engineering and fire science — and said these programs prepare students for immediate employment or further education. "Students in these programs are ready to use their skills whilst earning industry certifications to prepare them for immediate employment or further education," she said.
Moore also praised the district's JROTC programs: "All 5 of our high school JROTC programs have a 100% graduation rate for their cadets. 100%." She noted the Navy JROTC at Richland Northeast recently earned designation as a distinguished unit with academic honors for the fourth consecutive year, calling the recognition the highest honor a JROTC program can receive in the state.
