Commissioners ask committees to consolidate priorities for a unified 2027 package

As the session wound down, commissioners pressed advisory group members to move from many local project lists toward a smaller, coordinated set of priorities that could win legislative support. Several commissioners and chairs said packaging a geographically balanced, multimodal proposal would increase the chance of legislative success.
"What I can offer or what I really can promise is that we would love to be partners with all of you in advocating for those project needs," one commissioner said, and multiple chairs volunteered to convene cross‑modal work products that could be used in outreach to legislators. Staff were asked to prepare concise packages and supporting materials for the visioning group and 2027 advocacy work.
