Board approves $1.00 hourly wage increase for county employees, $2.00 for emergency posts; allows claims and designates printing service

On July 14 the Dixon County Board of Supervisors approved modest wage increases and routine financial housekeeping measures. On a motion by Terry Nicholson, seconded by Deric Anderson, the board approved a $1.00‑per‑hour cost‑of‑living adjustment for employees under the board's supervision and a $2.00‑per‑hour increase for the Emergency Manager and the E911 Coordinator; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also authorized the County Clerk to designate a printing service to produce joint public hearing postcards and noted the recent postage increase that sets estimated cost per postcard at $0.62. In addition, the board reviewed vendor listings and, finding no unpaid claims between January 2025 and June 2026, on a motion by Steve Hassler, seconded by Neil Blohm, allowed all claims for payment. The Treasurer was later authorized to dispose of listed nonfunctioning inventory items; the disposal list is on file in the County Clerk’s office.
