Dixon County approves BVH architecture contract and names Sampson Construction construction manager for courthouse project

The Dixon County Board of Supervisors on July 14 approved key contracts to advance a courthouse master‑planning and renovation project, voting unanimously to hire Sampson Construction as construction manager at risk and to retain BVH Architecture as project architect.
At a 10:00 A.M. presentation, BVH Architecture reviewed the master‑planning schedule and the Ad Hoc committee outlined a proposal evaluation process that included 10 proposals and four interviews. Supervisor Steve Hassler moved to approve awarding the Waterbury construction‑manager role to Sampson Construction; the motion passed, and the board later approved the BVH contract and delegated authority to the chair to sign and administer the contract documents and related instruments on behalf of the county.
The Ad Hoc committee will hold community meetings on Monday, August 24 in Ponca (morning), Wakefield (midday) and Allen (evening) to present project plans and solicit public input. The board record shows the approvals include explicit delegation allowing the chair or a designee to execute and manage contract documents during project implementation.
